Dr. Jerry D. Jones Sr.

Dr. Jones was reared in Dalton Georgia by the late Mr. and Mrs. A. L. (Marco) Jones.  Dr. Jones heard the calling of the Master at an early age.  He did not turn a deaf ear to the voice nor did he hide the command from family and friends and at the age of 18 the WORD had to go forth.  Dr. Jones is a graduate of Dalton High School, Valdosta State University where he recieved a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice.  Dr. Jones obtained a Master's Degree and a Doctorate in Christian Counseling and Psychology from the Christian Bible College and Seminary School.

Dr. Jones has served faithfully as Pastor, Teacher, Minister, and Mentor at Mt. Ridge.  The body of Christ has quadrupled and is actively still growing.  Dr. Jones has a unique Ministry....it is simply following the fundamental doctrine of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  He believes in the preaching and the teaching of the Bible in its context and making it applicable for the strongest to the weakest in the faith.  He believes that once you have had a "Mountain Top" experience you will be and feel like Peter on the Mount of Transfiguration and say "It's good to be here".  Dr. Jones has received numerous awards.  In 2008, he received the Mayor of the city of Dalton Award for his outstanding service and commitment in the community for Spirtually, Financial and Mentoring to youth through out the region.
Dr. Jones is married to his college sweetheart Mrs. Sharrel Jones.  The Lord has blessed them with two beautiful children Jay Jr. and Olivia.  Dr. Jones is a loving father and husband.  His wife and children can often be heard speaking of how much he loves and supports them in all of their endeavors.  Dr. Jones loves preaching and teaching the Good News and God has richly blessed the Ministry.  The WORD continues to go forth.
BLESSED IS THE MAN THAT MAKETH THE LORD HIS TRUST .            Psalms 40:4
